Anti-Theft Bug
A click on "Logout" in the "Anti-Theft" Menue deactivates the "Geolocation" and "Wipe". But it should lock the settings, not turn them off by just a single click without any password request!!! Every Theft can hit that "Logout"-Button.
ROOT/SYSTEM SCAN
Dr. Web will do a full sys. scan. I like it but it will overlook some items. BitDefender found all my test viruses. Plus I like the cloud idea. Although I used to build roms today I let others do it. A full system scan would be nice, as opposed to just apps. Also forget the antitheft as it pointless bloat ware. I use bit defender because its low and non resources and right to the point and accurate. (No body is going to go looking for a lost phone like a needel in a hay stack and no one would confront anyone, cnompletely useless tech idea).
New functions/security
It will be great if:
1. anti-theft protection switch on/off could be protected by a secondary password.
2. while anti-theft protection is on,bitdefender should be locked for uninstall.
3. when i press "locate my device" an alarm that ring loud on device could help find your device more faster.
and the best of all: while anti-theft is on,phone shoud be blocked for hard/soft reset.
anti theft must be improved!
smartphones are expensive and this feature should be improved much more! smartphones can be stolen or lost!
- the anti-teft feature must be password protected! anyone can disable it.
- it would be better if it sends a sms to another number
- when i try to locate my device it should auto turn on the gps and wire-less networks or 3g.
-the person who get your phone does not need to know your phone has this feature! you must gain time to colect many informations about the new user!
Malware Scan
Every time I try to scan it tells me there is no network connection but this is the only app that has problems connecting. EVO 4G
nice work! just a few suggestions
First, this is by far the lightest security app out there. (using a Droid X btw) Great job! I love it!
Second, just a few suggestions ideas:
1) Under Anti-Theft, a password lock on disabling geolocation/wipe
2) Malware Scanner - menu showing information on when app last updated from cloud/current virus database loaded (this could also be placed in event viewer)
3) Malware Scanner - an on demand file system scan of phone
4) Malware Scanner - an SMS/MMS scanner
5) Spam Blocker - for SMS/MMS as well as ad-blocking (you could do this via hosts file i believe?). who would not want the ability to block ads from free apps? i think adding this would make you stand out from any other security software out there.
Again, wonderful work on this - I am recommending this product to anyone I know on Android. Thanks again!
